Coastal Concerts presents Benefit Concert for Beebe Healthcare

Coastal Concerts is excited to welcome the acclaimed classical pianist Jim-Isaac Chua to the stage at Bethel United Methodist Church in a highly anticipated Benefit Concert for Beebe Healthcare on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2 p.m. As an organization deeply committed to enriching our community through the power of music, we are thrilled to sponsor this Benefit Concert for Beebe Healthcare. Funds raised from this event will go toward supporting the hospital's critical programs and services that directly benefit patients in need. We believe that music has the ability to heal and uplift spirits, and it is our pleasure to bring the joy of classical music to this special event. Known for his virtuosic skill and emotive performances, Mr. Chua promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.  Jim-Isaac Chua is not only a world class musician, but a young man with a dynamic, passionate, vibrant personality and outlook on life.  He routinely finds time in his busy schedule to perform benefit concerts for non-profit organizations, which have included Habitat for Humanity and The Arc Foundation. These benefits have resulted in him being featured on several TV and radio interviews. Since his solo debuts at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) and the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York in 2009, he has delighted audiences in the USA, Canada, Poland, France, Italy, Austria, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Philippines with his “outstanding pianistic mastery and artistry of the most outstanding and demanding literature which seem to reach the limit of pianistic abilities” (Anna Miech). He has received several awards at international competitions, and his performances have been praised as “a feast for the ears” (Szczecin Radio)— “you hear, feel, and absorb [Chua’s] music with your whole soul” (Józef Świder Concert Hall). As a special addition to this event, Lewes resident Lani Spahr, will conduct an in-depth interview with Mr. Chua prior to the concert. Concertgoers will have the opportunity to enjoy a “Meet and Greet the Artist” at the reception immediately following the performance at Beebe’s School of Nursing.
