Third Saturday History Hands-on

Step back into the past each third Saturday from April – December from 10 a.m. until 4
p.m. and discover the Lewes of bygone times!

For Third Saturday History Hands-on, the Lewes Historical Society’s sites at historic
Shipcarpenter Street Campus (110 Shipcarpenter St.), Cannonball House Maritime
Museum (118 Front St.), US Life-Saving Service Boat House (Canalfront Park), Ryves
Holt House Museum & Mercantile (218 2nd St.), and Lewes History Museum (101 Adams
Ave.) feature enhanced activities to bring you closer to Lewes’ rich heritage!
Visit the Sussex Tavern or Lewistown Coffee-house for a refreshing colonial beverage,
participate in living history demonstrations, go shopping like it’s 1772 at the Ryves Holt
House Museum & Mercantile, participate in a story and craft activity at the Lewes
History Museum, discover maritime lore at the Cannonball House Maritime Museum
and USLSS Boat House, and more!

Admission fees apply for the Lewes History Museum, Cannonball House Maritime
Museum, and Historic Shipcarpenter Street Campus. Your contributions make things
