Women’s Work: Selected Works from the Women Artists in RAL’s Fine Art Collection

From July 19 to September 22, the league will have two unique curated shows on display to highlight pieces from RAL’s permanent fine art collection.  The Homestead will showcase “Women’s Work: Selected Works from the Women Artists in RAL’s Fine Art Collection.” A creative force, female artists have played an important role in the enrichment of the arts. Although their contribution to the art world had always taken a “back seat” to the contribution of their male counterparts, it wasn’t until the beginning of the 20th century that things began to change for women, which transformed the traditionally male-driving social structure around the world. This exhibition highlights work created by well, and lesser, known women from the League’s Fine Art Collection.   Venue: Rehoboth Art League.
