Atlantic Oceanside Dewey Beach Resort

First of all, I dont know what happened since about two years ago maybe 3 but 70$ just to park on the property you just booked a hotel at is crazy. Second, I've been going to dewey for 8 or 9 years now and I will say this has been the worst experience I have ever had. The light switch in the room was broke and they had a guy come up and look at it say we dont have one to fix it sry and left. Ants all over the place and the drain in the bathtub was half clogged, you were taking a bath while showering. The place was not the same as when we were there a few years ago. Half a roll of tp when we got into the room, nothing more, just a half a roll. If you need an air mattress it is 15$ a night too. On top of that.......the teens and others were so crazy all week, my kids were scared at one point. Every night from 2 to 4 am they were running up and down the walk way banging on doors and blowing air horns, leaning on cars that were not theirs, and literally jumping into the pool from the second floor walkway into the pool. The pool was dirty, cigarette buds and wrappers in it. I ended up having to net everything out myself because I couldn't take it. Then there was the front desk... well if you have the same problems that we did and were not able to sleep well.. that's to bad. It's not their problem, they told us, it's because of pride month and college's out and seniors graduating. They couldn't do anything about it. The horrible "manager" said, "its just how dewey is"... from a professional standpoint they are suposed to uphold the peace as a quiet stay rule but they told us nope, all we can do is ask them to keep it down not make them stop... very unprofessional. The manager was very rude with my wife... would not refund anything but the the 70 dollar ridiculous parking fee and that was it. So save your time, money and vacation. Book somewhere else like the Bay Resort up one block and across the road because this was a complete waste on my 5 day vacation.....

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Atlantic Oceanside Dewey Hotel. I booked my stay through Booking.com, and when I requested a refund, the hotel directed me to Booking.com while Booking.com directed me back to the hotel. Being caught in the middle with neither party willing to take responsibility was incredibly frustrating. I booked a stay based on the information provided at the time of reservation and expected the hotel to honor the policies and terms that were advertised.

Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. When I attempted to address an issue regarding my reservation, I found the response from management to be unhelpful and inconsistent with what had been communicated during the booking process. As a guest, I relied on the information provided and expected a higher level of customer service.

Instead of resolving the matter fairly, the situation left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. Customers should be able to trust that the policies and commitments presented when making a reservation will be honored.

I hope Atlantic Oceanside Dewey Hotel reviews its customer service practices and improves how it handles guest concerns. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property and would encourage others to carefully review all reservation details before booking.

We have always stayed here but this last time has insured we will never stay again staff was rude over charged my card without authorization and then denied they did when I attempted to straighten it out the general manger assured me that they were pending charges not true charges gave me an invoice that did not show the charges and told me my bank must if double charged me I contacted my bank. They were not as she said pending they were true charges she not only lied but was unprofessional and we will no longer stay here. From the beginning this hotel was trying to charge me for things that were to be included I booked threw booking and my dogs were included in the price but was told by the hotel staff I needed to pay 35 a dog I had to have booking call them It was fixed but only after booking called them. The location was good but the entire trip was frustrating and we will never stay here again due to the dishonest staff.
