Baja Bob's

Located right on the boardwalk below Above the Dunes. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The portions sizes were good and the meat tender and juicy.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! We ordered Steak and Chicken Mini Chimis, chips and salsa,.Pulled Chicken Baja Bowl, Carnitas Boardwalk tacos, El Pastor street tacos and fried ice cream. Highly recommend.

This place has great seating overlooking the beach/boardwalk. That is basically all I can say that is favorable. The poor service we received would cause me to not return. We were seated at our request at the seats overlooking the boardwalk. There were empty glasses and dirty dishes to the right of us and three people in another party on the other side. I assumed the hostess would be back to clear the dishes however that never happened. We ordered drinks and a chips/guacamole appetizer. My cocktail took forever to come and we ended up getting the appetizer first. Turns out our server was also the bartender and busy making other drinks. No big deal except he never had time to check on us again. The guacamole was good, however it was a shame most of the chips were not whole and basically were crumbs. When we were finished, I asked a different server if she could bring our bill which she said she would, but never did. I then went over to the hostess and asked how I could get my bill and she directed me to the bar, not sure why she couldn't help with this as she was browsing her phone when I walked up. I was hoping for a better experience.

I ordered at the to-go counter but was upcharged for the type of meat I wanted in my tacos so I changed it from al pastor to carnitas instead. (The menu only had shrimp or steak listed as upcharge).. just change the menu at that point. Tacos were great; served with onions, cilantro, lime and salsa verde. Only complaint on food was that I got a lot of dry end pieces and it was super salty. $14 for 3 full tacos is great for the boardwalk though!
