A fun little beach for the family. It was a first for us visiting the coast so we were surprised to see very few waves, just slow laps of water. It was relaxing and reviving. There was a good bit of sea weeds but we found so many little amazing creatures, we observed and gently replaced them. After a few hours of sun we headed back in.

Fenwick Island is a small coastal town in Delaware, known for its beautiful beaches and family-friendly atmosphere. It offers a quieter, more relaxed alternative to the busier nearby resort towns. Visitors can enjoy various outdoor activities, including swimming, fishing, boating, and exploring the Fenwick Island State Park. The town also features charming shops, restaurants, and historic sites, making it an ideal destination for a peaceful beach getaway.

Fantastic state park, very clean. Half the beach is dog friendly year round. After October 1st the entire beach through Maryland is all dog friendly. Bathrooms are available and snacks if you don’t pack a cooler of food. Like all beaches, if there is off shore wind beware of the blackhead flies! They will eat you and your dog all up. Definitely a great section of the beach since there are no homes or buildings blocking the views.
