I had a fantastic experience at gary’s. The food, drinks, and service are all world class. The vibes are immaculate, the beers are cold, and the turkey cheesesteak deserves international acclaim. Don’t skip gary’s on your trip to Dewey

Established in 1991, this locally owned gem is known as Dewey's finest dive bar, and they wear that title with pride! Gary himself is in the back every day, whipping up some of the most delicious and flavorful meals you'll find anywhere. The turkey cheesesteaks are a must-try, and don’t miss out on their unique sushi — it’s the only sushi available in Dewey Beach! With over 100 beer choices at the full bar, there’s something for everyone. The friendly and helpful staff make it even more enjoyable. Whether you're here during the off-season (Thursday through Sunday) or the busy summer months (open 7 days a week), the prices are always just right. A true local favorite for great food, drinks, and a relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!

Took a tinder date to a date Gary’s back in ‘08. I can’t explain how special the atmosphere was. From candlelight dining to fine wines and top notch service, I was absolutely blown away. These people just get it. I can’t imagine a more unforgettable experience. Also heard they’re installing a full bed and breakfast beginning August 2027
