Georgetown Family Restaurant

Stopped here with my husband for breakfast while passing through town. There is no hostess, so you seat yourself, which makes it difficult to get waited on based on when you arrive. Other patrons that arrived after us received service first. I had the breakfast Platter. The eggs and home fries were good. My husband had a 222 with pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The eggs and bacon were perfect but the pancakes were pretty dry. We each had coffee but our waitress did not make enough check ins and my husband's cup was empty a while before she approached with one refill. They were not busy, so another trip or two to check on us would have been appreciated. The interior of the restaurant is modern and clean. The service could have some improvement but the food and atmosphere are better than average.

I can honestly say this restaurant has some of the best comfort food I’ve ever had. The hash brown mac and cheese was absolutely unbelievable and easily the star of the meal. It was creamy, cheesy, crispy on top, and packed with so much flavor. The combination of the crispy hash browns with the rich mac and cheese was genius and tasted even better than I imagined.

Everything came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and you could tell the ingredients were high quality. Every bite was rich, comforting, and completely worth it.

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back just thinking about the food.

If you’re looking for something unique, comforting, and seriously delicious, you HAVE to try the hash brown mac and cheese here. Easily a five-star experience and one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time.

Very Clean & well decorated. . I ordered the meatloaf and, it was a good portion and very tasty as well.. Our waitress kept a close eye on us to make sure we didn't run out of drinks and was very polite.. A must try if your in the Georgetown, De. Area.
