Take a trip back in time with the help of a soft breeze off the inlet and pristine white sand, against the backdrop of a picturesque, historic Life-Saving Station. The Life-Saving Station has been meticulously restored to its 1905 appearance, complete with diamond-shaped trim.
Located just north of the Indian River Bridge, the station also includes one of the area’s most interesting gift shops.

Terrific stop! The museum is super cool and so well organized and maintained. Totally and utterly amazing visit!! The tour for the Lyle gun firing and in-depth showing of the house was way better than we could have imagined. The staff is very knowledgeable and super enthusiastic for the facility!! Can’t recommend this enough!!!

Nice museum. Lots of signs to read plus an audio tour. Small gift shop with some interesting things and knowledgeable staff.

This was a worthwhile stop and one I'd recommend if you're driving along the Delaware coast. We spent about an hour here and thought it was well worth the admission price.
Definitely do the audio tour. It really brings the history to life and adds a lot more context than simply walking through the building on your own. The station itself was my favorite part. It's well preserved, and seeing where the surfmen lived and worked made it easy to imagine what life was like when they were performing rescues along the coast.
If you're already passing by or have an interest in history, it's an easy stop that's both informative and enjoyable.
