Nicks Philadelphia Cheese Steaks & Gyros
Looks a bit sketchy, but once you walk in you are welcomed by the smell of grilled meat. This is the holy grove of American food, definitely a good place to stop by, even just for a snack. I recommend their gyros, they are filled with meat, look great, and have a great balance of meat and vegetable flavors.

Nicks Philadelphia Cheese Steaks & Gyros
Firstly, Nickās is the only place for a cheesesteak. Bread is soft. The meat moist and excellently chopped and plenty of cheese. Today, for lunch, I had their gyro. Given the authentic feel of the place, I had high hopes. (Iām doing a head to head competition of gyros with Sunrise Diner.) the pita was soft, hot, and had the slightly greasy goodness. The portion was good. Sometimes Americans go for overboard with the amount of gyro meat they add. There was enough sauce to cover each bite. Not too much lettuce. Think there was one or two tomato slices. Wanted a few more. All and all: much like Nicks, quick, hot, and good. The workers are lovely too. Only hang up, when I asked for fries on my gyro, like traditional style, the gentleman who took the order said, āuh, we donāt really do that here.ā Seems he knew what I was talking about, but didnāt offer to do it for a small upcharge. I didnāt ask, as this is a head to head with Sunrise. Letās see tomorrow what they say when I ask for fries on it. Smashed it!
