Beautiful vista, with lots of marsh water, reeds, and birds. They have boardwalks where you can set up your camera or observe the many many birds that are in this location. The walks are relatively short but I suppose you could go as far as you choose. I went there for the bird watching but the peaceful setting is worth a trip right off of Route 1

An absolute gem of a place in Delaware, didn't get the chance to do all of the trails, but the ones I did were immaculate and well maintained. You will need insect repellent during the summer or you will get eaten alive, after all it is a marsh which is a mosquito haven.

Kind of like Bombay Hook NWR, but a bit smaller/less “developed”. They have a lot of great trails that you can chain into each other, which gives a good look at the different types of regions. There’s also a great overlook at the end of the Dyke Trail. Also, it had no entrance fee which is rare for NWRs in my experience.
