Surf's Edge Deli & Pizzeria

I walked into this clean and very inviting gourmet deli and pizzeria and I was immediately welcomed by the affable and professional Greg. I have visited this establishment a few times, and I was impressed by the impeccable customer service, friendly staff, and the superb degree of organization of the chips, snacks, and soft drinks. The tables were spotless. The napkin dispenser was well-stocked.

I was quietly excited to explore the menu. I ordered the Nor'easter and chicken tenders with a side of honey mustard and a Sprite fountain drink.

With enthusiasm and a bright smile, Greg handed me my entrees in two plastic wicker baskets and showed me where the napkins were for my convenience. The level of kindness and hospitality was undeniably superb.

The Nor'easter is a scrumptious turkey breast sandwich with peppers, honey Dijon, (skipped the mayo), lettuce and tomatoes, and I think there may have been some fresh avocado smoothly added between the fresh slices of wheat bread as well. It's utterly fantastic and exudes great flavor! My chicken tenders were golden and slightly brownish and cooked to perfection and the honey mustard was sublime.

I'm happy to conclude that this gem in Fenwick Island, Delaware, in Sussex County, has become an instant favorite of mine. Outstanding!

They have a wide variety of menu options and snacks, and a big barrel of fresh pickles!
This is a nice little joint to get lunch. The staff is friendly and service is quick whether you dine in or want take-out.
I ordered The Edge 10” sub and was very satisfied. If you’re looking for a cheap and delicious pit stop for lunch, try this place out.

BLOWN AWAY! Surf’s Edge has been a favorite spot of ours for years. Went in today for the first time in a while and we are so glad we stopped in. This deli is clean, bright, and beachy. And it’s the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat in the afternoon. We ordered the Tsunami Sub and the special- Terrapin Turkey. Definitely some of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had! The Tsunami was perfectly seasoned and the roll was soft and fresh. The Terrapin Turkey Panini was unique and flavorful. I loved the strawberry fig jelly paired with the green apples and smoked Gouda. What a creative combination! And the sourdough bread was delicious. French fries were addicting. Dough balls for dessert are a must. Gluten free bread options available and the brownies looked so good! (Next time). The service and atmosphere were warm and welcoming. Both gentlemen greeted us with big smiles and made our food quickly and with love! We will be back to try some more of the chefs creations :)
